our journey to and survival in a new land. Travel back in
time to Senegal, Russia and England. Listen to historical
folk tales and true stories from communities that traveled
a great distance to finally settle in the United States. Many
people came here by choice and others were forced to come
here bringing with them only their stories. Walk away with
a broader understanding of our diverse community both in the
past and present.

Every
family has a special way of bringing in the New Year. Sometimes
they celebrate this holiday on a different date than January
1st like the Chinese New Year or the Jewish New Year, Rosh
Hashanah. Sing, dance and bring in the New Year on any day
of the year with these three unusual yet very traditional
tales about the "same holiday".
